The New York Biotechnology Association, Inc., (NYBA) leads the state's bioscience industry ­by developing and implementing targeted business programs that will help your business reach its full potential.  Through our established and growing menu of programs and services, NYBA creates a support network for the industry's growth and development.  All members of NYBA, no matter what their size or line of business, are entitled to the same benefits.

NYBA is one of the largest and most effective statewide biotech industry associations in the nation. Our close working relationships with local, state and federal governments and with national organizations such as the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) extend NYBA's reach and resources far beyond the borders of New York State and the tri-state region.

These include funding for technology transfer and applied research in the biological sciences, industry specific tax credits, and credits for investment in New York’s biotechnology companies.  NYBA has also successfully lobbied against legislation that could have a damaging effect on the growth of the industry, including anti-GMO legislation, anti-stem cell legislation, and programs that would stifle innovation and research.
    • NATIONALLY:  NYBA is the officially designated state affiliate to the Biotechnology Industry Organization in Washington DC. Through this relationship, NYBA has a voice in federal policy that will shape the current and future biotechnology industry.  NYBA leads the New York industry delegation at the annual BIO Fly-In, a program that brings over 1,000 leaders of the national biotech industry to lobby congress.
