NYBA promotes cooperation between academia and industry and new and established companies. Our larger member companies make specialists from their own organizations available to offer assistance with start-up ventures. Members can obtain consultations and advice on environmental safety and health, economic development resources, FDA regulations, and intellectual property and licensing.
Public outreach plays an important role in NYBA's mission, too. We work with the media, community groups and economic development associations to educate the broader public about the benefits of biotechnology. Our lobbying and networking activities have built support for the industry with state, local and federal governments and influenced key legislation.
